The North American basketball championship, commonly known as the NBA, the most watched basketball competition in the world, will resume its rights on Tuesday, October 16, 2018 in the USA. Among the 600 players of different nationalities, from different backgrounds, are three Haitians. They will have to defend the colors of the New York Knicks, Sacramento Kings and Oklahoma Thunders. Wink on the NBA.
Nerlens Noël (24) made his NBA debut in 2013 when he was drafted in 6th position in the Philadelphia 76ter franchise. He is the most experienced of the three. After his stint in Dallas, he will be wearing the colors of the Oklahoma City Thunders this season, with the goal of playing the playoffs and capturing his first career ring. He will play this season with number 3. His team will play its first match against the defending Golden Warriors champions on Tuesday, October 16 from 10:30 pm.
Skal Labissière, a former student of the Canado-Haitian College, drafted by the Phoenix Suns in 2016 in 28th position, then transferred to the Sacramento Kings, is playing his third season in the NBA this year. Often sent to the G-league NBA last season, Skal (22) plans to do better. He averaged 8.7 points, 4.8 rebounds and 1.2 assists. His franchise Sacramento Kings will compete on October 17 against his counterpart of Utah Jazz. Skal will evolve with number 7.
Jeff Coby (24), who was not drafted, had to go through Spain before joining the NBA. Thus, it is with the status of rooki (name given to the players who play their first season in the NBA) that it will evolve under the colors of the franchise of New York Knicks. The latter will be struggling, from Wednesday, October 17, from 7:30 pm, with Atlanta Hawks.
It goes without saying that we will closely follow the various duels that will put into perspective: Sacramento – New York, Sacramento – Oklahoma City, New York – Oklahoma City. Not to mention the shocks against the best players of the North American basketball championship this season.
It remains to be seen whether they will convince their coaches to have a place in the starting five of their respective teams. We are already wondering who among them will have the chance to play the traditional All-Star Game of the 2018 – 2019 edition of the NBA.
